HID Mengumumkan Partnership Dengan INSIDE

HID Global mengumumkan perjanjian dengan INSIDE untuk memanufaktur contactless pre-laminating untuk INSIDE berdasarkanpada platform pembayaran MicroPass. " Ekspansi kerjasama kita secara langsung merefleksikan perubahan dasar yang sedang terjadi di pasar contactless, " kata Denis Hebert, Presiden dan CEO HID Global. Contactless Cards Now Accepted at All KFCs in Malaysia

Customers dining at any of KFC's 402 restaurants in Malaysia are now able to pay for their favourite meals with their credit or debit payment cards. Approximately 150 outlets in the Klang Valley, Penang, Johor, and East Malaysia are equipped to accept payment cards, with all remaining outlets enabled by the end of H1 2008. Also announced was the availability of MasterCard PayPass contactless payment at KFC outlets, which will allow customers with PayPass-enabled MasterCard cards to 'tap and go' when making purchases. MasterCard introduces 1st Contactless Payment in Mongolia

MasterCard in collaboration with Golomt Bank of Mongolia, has set a market precedent by pioneering the 1st contactless payment card in the market = the MasterCard PayPass Petrovis Petrol Credit Card. With the official launch in January 2008, the card ushered consumers in Mongolia into the contactless payments era. As the co-branded merchant for this card, Petrovis is the largest petroleum company in Mongolia, owning a large distribution network with 400 gas stations all over the country. Cardholders of the MasterCard PayPass Petrovis Petrol Credit Card will be offered a minimum of 3% discount when using the card for payment at Petrovis gas stations. (CNA/PP11610/7/2008)

SCM-Sony MoU On FeliCa Technology

SCM Microsystems announced it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sony to develop and supply FeliCa contactless card readers for international markets. Under the arrangement, SCM will develop its own line of FeliCa products targetting the enterprise, mobile and banking markets. Initially, the product portfolio is planned to consist of Felica Physical Access Control Terminals (PACT). Additional products are under discussion between the 2 companies. All SCM terminals and readers developed under this co-operation are anticipated to be fully ISO14443 and FeliCa capable and fully support NFC functionality. ACS Launches ACR128 DualBoost Reader

ACS announced that its dual-interface smart card reader - ACR128 DualBoost smart card reader is now ready to enter the global market. The ACR128 is a secure, economically designed smart card reader compliant to both ISO7816 part 1-3 Class A, B standard for the contact smart card and to ISO14443 Part 1-4 Type A, B standard for the contactless smart card.
